Jennifer Lopez was born in Bronx, NY in the family of two Puerto Rico’s emigrants Guadeloupe Rodriguez and David Lopez. Her family was quite poor, though parents were trying to give all the best to their daughters. They saved enough money and sent Jennifer to the Catholic school, her mother wanted to protect Jenny from the influence of the streets, so she sent her to the dancing school also, as soon as Jenny became five years old. Little J’Lo was learning flamenco and ballroom dances there, she made such a great success that she was participating in the town concerts after two years of studying. At the age of fourteen Jennifer began to take singing lessons, thought her mother considered it only like a hobby; she wanted her to become a lawyer, so Jenny had to abandon her hopes of becoming a famous singer and follow her parent’s will. She enters some notary’s office by their insistence, but later on she enters Manhattan’s dancing school and combines her legal practice with dancing. She quits her college after one term and decides to be a professional singer; she has to leave her house, because her parents didn’t share her efforts. Jenny’s first problem in the big world was absence of habitation; she had to act in some cheap advertising videos earning only twenty dollars for it, all of her attempts to find a suitable job were useless because of her Puerto-Rico’s origin. Eight months passed, jenny was in low spirits but suddenly luck stroke her, she was taken into “Golden Broadway Musical”
Two years passed she continued her rise to the Olympus starting her TV-career, she got invitation to the role of a dancer in "In Living Color" comedy, her first step as an actress was TV-series “South-Central” which was produced and written by her school-friend’s husband. In 1995 she got her role in “My Family” film; it was a great success and her next step as actress. Jenny obtained her personal happiness after the film Selena, marrying with Ojani Noa In the beginning of the 1997. Fast divorce didn’t harm Jenny’s career, she took part in “Anaconda”, after which she became one of the most paid Hollywood actress
In 1999 Jennifer became famous not only as an actress by releasing her first pop-album of Latin-American songs called “On the 6” which spread around the world very fast. Her first single “If you had my love” was on the top of US charts for five weeks, she became new MTV star and her next single "My love don't cost a thing" became platinum.
Nowadays J’Lo’s name became legendary, her stage career is on top, her face is well known all around the world and she can say that her dreams come true, simple girl from Bronx became Hollywood’s queen and one of the most popular singers in the world.
